In certain applications large vinyl letters cannot be used particulary if the vinyl has to have a cellulose laquer over the top of it. The laquer can shrink the vinyl when it "cures" and ruin the lettering profile.
Using stencils can be a very cost effective way of getting around this problem. Being machine cut, the quality of the lettering can be guarateed and simple and fast to fit and remove, leaving perfect results to then laquer over.
Below is one such example which was for the registration numbers on the wings of a Mystery Ship pylon racer aircraft. Each Letter measures 700mm tall ( almost 28 inches )
